Details about upcoming game reset

How will reset of the game be implemented? To make sure everyone understands what will happen with the upcoming game reset/upgrade, we wanted to share a bit more details about it.

So, what will happen with those of you who have/are playing WarClicks before the upcoming reset?

  • All achievements, battles, units, dpc, bs, country invasion progress, ranks, levels,… will be cleared
  • Only gold will  remain untouched (it means that you will start over with the gold you have PLUS any you have previously bought, plundered, earned and even spent on game upgrades – it will all be returned to your gold pile)

Hey Soldiers,

We have exciting news for you!

The army’s been working hard on making sure you have the best conditions to train your army and fight your opponents. Sometime next week (6th – 12th February) we will be making a move to deploy an update for the whole game. You will get access to the Training camp, where you will be able to train your troops even while away from the game. Vast improvements will be done to the active part WarZone to make sure you can fight as efficiently as possible.

20.000 players !!

Proud to announce that Warclicks reached an amazing short-term goal: 20.000 players!! We hope that you’ve enjoyed Warclicks so far. But beware, WarClicks will very soon get much more players as we are now preparing with our partner a huge boom via the release of the upgraded game. Improved playability with a completely new idle world (Training Camp) is coming. Along with marketing plans for the game, expect the game to get a lot more interesting and competitive!

Development update – december

We are nearing completion of all the main mechanics of the idle part!

We’ve done first playability tests of the game and even without optimized statistics/progression, sounds and fancy animation additions we have to say the game already feels great :)

Next week that is something we will focus on, so we can then work on adding tutorials, opening points and final UX improvements. If we get that out of our way fast, we will also find some time to do additional improvements to the old active part, from improved (backend and frontend) performance, UX, auto scaling/infinity.

Training Camp – Part III.

The further you progress the more gold you will be able to plunder. This will not only help you attract those desired investors for your Training Camp, but will also give you ways of to purchase your way to various tools to help improve your further fighting efforts. All of this will help you grow your military rank and make your name known across the globe!

Unfortunately our commanders have given us clear instructions, that we may not yet give out the secrets of the War Zone. As without Training Zones near the battlefield we could compromise their position.

Training Camp – Part II.

As we promised, we are giving out further updates about new upcoming elements of the game…

As you gain  power points, our prestige system  “deploy troops”  will be introduced. Deploying troops will reset the idle game progress for you, but you will gain army contractors in return, that will contract your military base and give you huge boosts to your production. This will enable you to re-climb to your previous point-in-game much faster, and let you progress beyond of what you simply could not without these bonuses. For those of you unfamiliar with such mechanics, it is what makes the game very re-playable and makes players want to keep pushing for that “upper limit” and seeing how far they can climb. Training camp

Welcome to the Training camp soldier!  Your objective here is to train units that will produce the idle game’s currency “power points”. You will use this currency for training more units and as you gain enough you will be able to unlock more powerful units. To make sure production keeps ticking (even without your constant presence) the army has assembled a ton of very strict (but expensive) managers that will automate production and training for you.

Sneak peek of future updates

Over the last month we’ve been working on new graphics and specifications of a completely ‘new world’ of WarClicks. It will be called ‘Training camp’ and will be a completely new aspect of playing the game. The current active game will remain mostly the same, but it will become “an extension” known as “War Zone”.

The training camp will become the main part where players will train units via idle gameplay mechanics. Players will be able to change into active mode by fighting in the War Zone. Although both game “worlds” will be separate, there will be some mechanics that will intertwine them, and open you up to a whole new set of different tactics and gameplay progression choices.

Re-based code deploy – Fixes update

Yesterday we have deployed the re-based code of WarClicks, and unfortunately we have missed some things in testing. Specifically the issue some of the top players had with negative scores we are taking care of now – some bugs in the new code caused scores over 2^32 to be considered as Integers.

 

We already got rid of the bug, and are now working on a script that will return all scores of the affected players to their real, pre-deploy state. The scores should be sorted within a few hours from this post.
