Taggame update

Short-sum up on the upcoming updates

Hey all!

Just a short-sum on what is coming to War Clicks with the next update:
– Finally removing wait Timers on Time Challenges and Invasion chances
– Adding a full list of interesting stats for a player to check in their profile
– Changing a few positions within the Shop, getting rid of the Unlock TC’s pack on all spots where showing currently
– Highlighting some texts in chats
– Replacing the checkboxes on alliance fights with something not as confusing
– Adding a Hotkey to enable/disable Farm mode in the War Zone
– Improving announcements/changelogs so, that they always appear in the latest-news popup (if the user hasn’t seen them)
– Additional tests on how the game is working in different browsers – showing suggested browser notes at the start?

That’ll be the update we plan to release as soon as it is properly completed and tested. Other game improvements will follow on our next update packs.

Boot Camp progression update, e308 cap smoothing, New Boot Camp re-balancing

Hey everyone,

Today we released an update, that speeds up late game Boot Camp (BC) progression, resolves some bugs/transitions with reaching the e308 cap in Boot Camp, and lastly, re-balances some “New Boot Camp” requirements and rewards.
* If seeing this update while in/game, please refresh to ensure you see all updates properly.

Here are the changes made:
– BC upgrades increased/added starting at around e115, e179, e206, e242-e244, e255, e270, e284, e290-e295, e303. These will help make for much further runs, and speed up post e115, and especially post e240 progression significantly.
* for users above e115, please note that your production of BC units will change in this update, and as new upgrades were inserted, a few of your old upgrades might be “gone”, but replaced with upgrades before them. So overall your production should be higher now, and you’ll be able to recoup any upgrades that new ones replaced pretty much instantly anyway.
– New Boot Camp requirements changed to start at e200, and be increased by e5, up to the cap of e300 at 23rd Boot Camp. This will help speed up the first 10 new BCs, but also ensure requirements are scaled up, to prevent “new BC spamming”, which was becoming a long-term balance issue, and this update was urgently needed.
– Due to tons of badge boosts from competitions and events piling up, “new BC spamming” was starting to become an issue of where users would be able to soon start farming “infinite gold” from renown rewards. This would ruin game economy and inflate it if left untouched, so we’ve also now limited Gold rewards from renown to the first 22 new Boot Camps started. Additionally, upon passing that, Research Point rewards from renown rewards will be doubled!
– “e308” smoothing has been done, which will now make it clear to users that once you reach e308 Power Points, there is nothing to do in the current Boot Camp anymore, and it will now be clear you have to start a new BC at that point. We’ve also added a “Completionist” renown level at 1.79e308, which will reward you with an extra 50 Research Points when reached – if anyone is willing to grind for it a bit more!

Many of these changes were long overdue after we initially released the Tactical Map with New Boot Camps feature, so we’re happy to finally be able to catch up! It will help provide a much better progression curve for all users, and allow you to reach further than ever before!

Have fun!

Getting rid of a bunch of annoyances!

In November we are focusing our updates on improving existing content – getting rid of annoying things, bugs, optimizations….

To start off, we’ve just deployed this set of updates:
Automation changes:

-Credit Cost for Buying units and upgrades reduced from 5 to 2.

-Credit cost for deploying reduced from 50 to 10

– Improved some case where automation revert was a false negative trigger

– Increased automation credits giveaway – some increases were done on the early upgrades, and a bunch of them added to the very very late game. All of these apply already, but if you’ve reached the 4th+ Boot Camp, make sure to check for a few new ones!

Daily Mission changes:

-Skips increased from 1 to 3 daily <- this will help you get rid of a few annoying missions for you, but allow us to keep all mission types and expand to new ones and keep variety!

-Skips also renamed to “change” as it was confusing for some

-Added a note about how many dynamic missions you completed today

– Daily reset will now ALWAYS grant 1 Spin The Wheel chance and 5 Time Challenge chances if you visit the game that day. Before, you wouldn’t get SPW if you had any, and only got your TCs refreshed up to 5 available.

Added a new research upgrade – Faster Time Challenge Clicks!

This is a super cheap upgrade, with which you essentially remove the repeatability/click madness of completing time challenges. This feature might be fun a few times, but just becomes a grind/torture, so now you can cheaply upgrade TC to be completable even with a single click!

-Fixed a bug where automation panel could sometimes show up/remain visible in War Zone

-Fixed a bug where getting TC chances from promo codes or daily missions would not properly refresh the button if you’ve already used up all of your chances, giving you appearance of it not being added.

-Made several optimizations to various Country HQ calculations, that should help improve loading times of opening Country HQ and its sub screens.

Tomorrow we will try to deploy another smaller update:

– Find & fix a bug where research items sometimes disappear, without refunding research points

– Changing unused automation credits to (indefinitely) rollover to the next day

First CHQ technologies added!

The research teams have done it again – first CHQ technologies can now be researched!

We’ve just deployed this second part of Command Center improvements! The following Country HQ technologies can now be researched:
-Clicking Force MX (+0.2% per level, ONLY in invasion, not in CvC!), Clicking Force MX in BTL(+0.3% per level), Spoils Points Invasion reward MX (+0.5% per level, only applies to Invasion rewards, NOT CvC!)

A NEW WZ tech: Battle Stars From Units MX(+1% per level)

Other improvements:

– rarity boosts formatted more nicely

– technologies details on hover should no longer be cut for bottom row of techs

Fixed a slight difference in frontend calculations of BC unit costs when buying with OCD or MaxOCD, that in some cases caused progress reversals.

– Fixed post-country donations info on CF and VP change to show properly

– Invasion info about over-clicking update removed

We hope you enjoy these new additions to the Research System –there are more interesting Unlocks (QoL) And Upgrades coming next week, as well as some potential buffs to Research Point gains once those are implemented!

Rarity boosts added and some BC improvements!

We just deployed the first set of many updates to come in the following days!

Rarity boosts have been added to Command Center technologies
When you now research new technologies which are not common, they will also come with a random “rarity boost”. This boost will be one of possible ones to have for a technology (i.e. for BC techs, it can be production MX, Air production MX…). The boost amount will depend on item rarity (Uncommon 1-5%, Rare 6-10%, Very Rare 11-15%, Epic 16-25%).
The rarity boost will be applied ONLY to any matching rarity boosts the technology has (it is not not an overall boost.

When combining techs, the higher percent rarity boost will be applied, if those are the same, then the rarity boost type of the “TO item” will be combined.

This update gives more meaning to rarity, and gives you reasons to collect and store specific technologies, and not just randomly combining items.

There  are many more Command Center updates coming this week, but we wanted to roll this one out quickly, so you can start getting these rarity boosts! 😉

Command Center updates

This update also improves how Boot Camp handles times when opened. Before cycling could be up to 25% slower (in most cases 1-5% slower) when Boot Camp was opened compared to when you’d have the game closed/off focus. This now makes it near 100% accurate even on slower computers – let us know if anyone still experiences these issues owe  can further optimize.
The update also fixes a frontend cost calculation mistake, that happened when one had 0 units, and bought with OCD/MaxOCD. We also plan to fix a calculation difference, that happens with the OCD options when buying on 1 to “closest milestone amount” unit amounts. These could in various cases cause the infamous progress revert, so thanks again to the user q1k for helping us clearly debug this issue so we can now resolve it :)

Major update overview: Late-game rework – extending Boot Camp gameplay

Unfortunately, we had a few unforeseen things to deal with and were not able to complete the updates properly to release this week as we had initially hoped (plus we wanted the current competition week to end), but we will definitely be able to release it this coming week!

Currently, we aim to release on Monday or Tuesday, during which there will be a maintenance period of 1-6 hours as we’ll have to adjust some things with user states to properly work with all the new improvements and new content. However, as this is a major update that deals with some of the core code and user states, we’d like to ask for your understanding should any additional delays happen – things are currently looking good, but we want to be as certain as possible that things will work properly in all areas from the start.

We just wanted to give you a heads up, especially if any of the coming changes might affect your choice of strategy in the coming days. For this purpose, and to get you a bit more familiar with the details of the update, we’ve prepared a condensed overview of the update below:

This particular update is set to revitalize boring late-game Boot Camp (BC) gameplay, provide you with un-drainable source of replenishing your support units and with that keep late-game War Zone (WZ) more dynamic, resolve the annoying “quick deploying” issue, spice up the weekly competitions and resolve some issues there, give you different strategy options/game focus, and also introduce some game optimizations (front and backend), that will allow us to scale the game further and improve your experience.

Tactical Map – extending Boot Camp gameplay
Reaching 1e200 Power Points in Boot Camp allows you to start commanding a New Boot Camp from scratch, giving you plenty of (long term)benefits:
A permanent support units MX when deploying (min +100%, +3% for starting a new BC with every e1 (X10) higher than minimum)
Specialize your new Boot Camp in a certain military branch (your land/air/sea units

UPDATE – FEB 19

Hey soldiers!

The Cupid’s Mission Event is over – feel free to check the results within the game and see where you ended at compared to others. Congratulations to all winners! 😉

Tier rewards

Tier rewards

New Event is coming in March, but meanwhile feel free to participate in Country battles to guarantee yourself an Alliance ticket for the weekend fights!

We’ve lowered the waiting times between Invasion attempts from 30 to 10 minutes, so more players will now be able to use all of their 3 Free daily chances to fight Invasions! (Use all chances today)

P.S.: New round of Weekly Competitions started yesterday (Trophy icon in left low-corner) and will end on Sunday – Do you have the power to outperform other players there??

Good luck & Have FUN! :)

War Clicks Team

GameDev update – Feb 15

  • Wait time between invasion attempts reduced from 30 to 10 minutes
  • Fixed “Baloon” spelling in Event
  • Fixed a bunch of random bugs with claiming SPW or promo codes rewards related to Time Challenge, or time challenge unlock.
  • Spin The Wheel chances immediately deduct visually and added some multi click prevention if you ran out of spins
  • Added some additional checks to War Zone progress verification/saving, that presumably might have increased the chance of causing any “negative/positive signs” for revertions
  • Prevention of double offerwall confirmation popup, adding gold twice and causing issues from them
  • Fixed (presumably) any issues with showing Event or Competition rewards popups

UPDATE: February 13th

We just released another update (requires refresh to take affect):

– Resolved issue of Daily Tasks sometimes not recognizing Spin the Wheel, or daily activity rewards towards completion. * keeping an eye on this still, so please report if you spot any sort of issue with this still!

– Also prettified the daily tasks a bit in some cases, to make it a bit clearer what the status is

– The Power points reward from daily task has been buffed – from doubling your current power points, it will now 10x them (before you gained the same amount, now you gain 9x of the amount). It’s a quick buff to this reward, but we’ll look into improving the rewards overall soon

– Fixed a bug where converting SP to rewards, wouldn’t immediately disable a button if not enough SP available

– Fixed a bug where 30s DPC would sometimes suddenly show “3” as amount, even though you actually have more/less of them

– Fixed the issue of CvC battles sometimes calculating the result a bit differently than what the replay showed. Note this might mean some replay today might suddenly show differently, but from tomorrow onward these issues should be fixed. If anyone ever still sees a discrepancy in results & replays, please let us know immediately so we can fix them ASAP.

Game Dev update – Jan15

Improved Boot Camp saving that should now prevent annoying saving issues (i.e. Some units, upgrades disappearing due to some unit cycles being neglected in weird conditions).  Also if now something doesn’t save (for weird potential rare reasons) the game will now return this information to user in a popup, and reset game’s state properly. This means that progress should now be reset for max 30 seconds and not „snowball“ into a big issues. Similar system will be added to WZ now, to remove any confusion about click speed limits and prevent revertion in those rare cases as well.

In the past few weeks we have also got rid of a lot of random issues with CvC results, which were hard to replicate on local servers and issues were revealed on live data. There were several issues with wrong  result calculations, display bugs, reward distribution issues… These were now fixed and CvC should be working properly now.

Today we’ve just deployed the Boot Camp game re-init in case of issues with saving, that should resolve and clarify any rare issues users still might have with that.

We’ve also fixed the issue with today’s CvC results and recalculated them to Continue reading
