We are currently doing major rework of our code for WarClicks, as it being a work in progress, tons of issues have clumped over time. So we will be re-basing pretty much all of the code as it is keeping our overall progress clogged, and at the same time the re-base will solve a few of the biggest issues with the game. Mainly we are removing a lot of the unnecessary server calls which could cause laggy gameplay experience, and at the same time doing vast optimizations to client-side code, so game should run much smoother after these changes. Perhaps even more importantly, it will allow us to make the game more modular and easy to upgrade, giving us a much better base to work on and prepare for including idle play, unlimited play and unlimited gameplay experience. Basically, it should be one of the most important steps to making the game much more enjoyable to play.
Once the rework is complete, adding idle play to the game is next on our list, so the game will be playable for longer periods with unlimited progression. It is quite a big step to implement such element, but will surely make the game more interesting to play, with more variations. Active players will now have the possibility to overtake their competitors faster. And with that, we will be able to get rid of a lot of things that are currently mostly progressing linearly, as it will be opening us to huge numbers/infinity, and it’s something we want to get right from the get-to and make the game fast-paced, instead of too linear.
We have also managed to get rewarded and preroll videos added to the game, to help support further development, and make a better free-to-play experience, by integrating monetization in the game play itself. We will also be doing various upgrades here, to monetize the game via such free incentives more, that will add to your experience. For now you can view up to 5 rewarded videos daily and in exchange you will get some gold to help your war efforts, and at the same time help support our running and development costs

When are you going to add idle gameplay?

Unfortunately we can afford limited development time and usually do one batch of bigger updates/upgrades to the game monthly. Idle gameplay should be added towards end of August/beginning of September – prioritized build immediately after the game re-base.
